2016 Move 4 A Cure - women's speckled hoodie
The logo on the shirt represents our October 2016 virtual race fundraiser. The turtle has become the unofficial symbol of Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia for those with PCD. PCDers refer to their slow or rest days as "turtle days". The heart shaped cell symbolizes situs inversus, or the reversal of organs. About 50% of those with PCD have their heart and sometimes other organs reversed (heart on the right side). Finally, the orange ribbon represents the PCD Foundation and bringing awareness to this rare disease.
