The Tree of Life design celebrates the theory of evolution and was created to give a voice to those who favor traditional biology and oppose the growing American support of various forms of creationism. The tree sprouts from the dot in the letter i, which represents the idea of common descent. Arrows and leaves signify continuing evolution and growth, and the simple statement "I believe in science" makes a firm declaration without openly bashing those with opposing viewpoints on the origins of life. I've been selling my IBIS shirts since 2006 (yes, before Nacho Libre and the many shirts inspired by that film). My shirts have been mentioned in the New York Times Magazine, featured in the shop of online science mag Inkling, and seen on many blogs! Thank you so much for visiting!
